In the 1970s and 1980s Jimmy Barnes was known as the wildest, loudest and most popular rock and roll star in the country. In the 1990s Jimmy reached mega-stardom with consecutive #1 albums in both soul and rock genres. Then everything went out of control and he came close to losing everything. In recent years, after rehab and open heart surgery, he has climbed back to the top of the charts and the top of his form with two sell out Australian tours and a current number one album The Rhythm and the Blues.
Paul Kelly

Singer-songwriter Paul Kelly has recorded numerous albums with his own bands, written songs with and produced other artists, and written several film scores including Lantana, One Night The Moon and Jindabyne. His recent albums include the bluegrass-inspired Foggy Highway, the Tchad Blake-produced Ways and Means, and Stolen Apples.
Genevieve Lacey

Genevieve Lacey is acclaimed as a recorder virtuoso and performs repertoire spanning nine centuries with commanding passion. She has recorded multiple CDs, including Il flauto dolce which won the 2001 ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Award) for Best Classical Recording. She performs as a concerto soloist, touring both nationally and internationally with The English Concert, Academy of Ancient Music, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, including a performance at the 2001 Proms at Royal Albert Hall. She also works as a solo recitalist in Australia and Europe and has premiered multiple concertos and other works written for her. Her performances have been described by The Guardian (London) as “combining sensuality, wit and mind-boggling flamboyance”.Greg is one of Australia's premier and most innovative percussionists, widely regarded internationally as an expert in his field. As a performer, he is significantly represented in the last three decades of Australian contemporary music as a solo artist, a live band member and a studio musician, having played on hundreds of recordings. As a teacher Greg has coordinated many extraordinary community arts projects along with teaching both professionals and the wider community with his unique style of rhythmic notation and original body percussion techniques.Greg Sheehan

Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu

Blind from birth, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu is a powerhouse of musical creativity. Geoffrey, or Gudjuk as he is also called, is from the Gumatj nation, his mother from the Galpu nation both First Nations peoples from North East Arnhem Land. Yunupingu’s own band, the Saltwater Band, hail from Galiwin'ku on Elcho Island, NE Arnhem Land are a much loved and most popularly noted Indigenous band, partly because of Yunupingu’s influence and guidance. With the release of this his first solo album, Gurrumul, highlights the tremendous talent he has to offer Indigenous music in Australia, and indeed, the world. Yunupingu joins The Black Arm Band for Hidden Republic, premiering at the 2008 Melbourne International Arts Festival.
