Ursula Yovich

Ursula Yovich hails from the ancient lands of Australia's remote far north. Ursula's distinctive voice is both deeply soulful and hauntingly beautiful and is infused with the richness and power of the two cultures that course through her blood: Serbian and Australian Aboriginal. Having grown up in Darwin and the remote Aboriginal community of Maningrida she has defied the odds to become one of Australia's most celebrated performers. Ursula has performed with theatre companies across Australia to consistently glowing reviews. She is also well known for her performance in The Sapphires and has also played small yet significant roles in the films Jindabyne and Baz Luhrmann's Australia. In recent times Ursula has dazzled audiences across Australia and intemationally with her spectacular voice including live performances at the MCG, the SCG, The Sydney Opera House, Queen Elizabeth Hall in London and Camegie Hall in New York, and is touring her solo cabaret, Magpie Blues.
